About Emily Cornelius

Emily Cornelius is an active freelance musician.  She currently is concertmaster of the Heights Chamber Orchestra, acting concertmaster of the BlueWater Chamber Orchestra, assistant concertmaster of the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra in Breckenridge Colorado, and a member of the Canton Symphony as well as the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. She has also served as concertmaster for the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, as guest concertmaster for the Erie Philharmonic, and as assistant concertmaster for CityMusic Cleveland.

Emily has been a featured soloist with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Richmond Philharmonic, the Canton Symphony Orchestra, the BlueWater Chamber Orchestra, the Heights Chamber Orchestra, and the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra.  

Emily holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory, where she studied with Gregory Fulkerson, and a Master of Music degree, with honors, from the New England Conservatory, where she studied with James Buswell.

Emily Cornelius is also a dedicated teacher and maintains a large private studio at her home in Shaker Heights.  When Emily is not performing, practicing, or teaching, she can most likely be found with a book, on a hike, or in the company of one or more dogs.

Pops Concert – Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM

This family-friendly concert will feature something for everyone! Music will feature music from films, musicals, ballet, and patriotic favorites.

 

All concerts are held at the Shore Cultural Centre located in Euclid, Ohio at 291 E. 222nd Street and Babbitt Road. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Shore Cultural Centre or from an Orchestra member. They can also be purchased online.
